The Great Smoky Mountains

Matt has entered Great Smoky Mountain National Park today at Fontana Dam and is camping around Mollies Ridge shelter on the North Carolina/Tennessee border (2000.7 miles from Katahdin, 173.9 miles from Springer). Mollie's Ridge is right next to the Devil's Tater Patch, by the way.

Matt,

Don't forget to hitch a ride from Newfound Gap/Clingman's Dome up to Gatlinburg, so you can stop at the Happy Hiker and get your picture taken!

You can also get a pretty good dish in Gatlinburg - rainbow trout: fried, broiled, or baked - is an outstanding local dish!

Enjoy the Smokies...don't feed the bears :)

Is the Devil's Tater Patch where Satan growns his Potatoes? If it is, I would avoid french fries in that area.

Thanks to both Matt and Lisa for keeping this up. It's fun.
